weeeeeeeeeeeee… sentosa is so fun… its been ages since i went to sentosa not because of the beach or class outings, but just going there to view the attractions and enjoy the place… haha…
went to a few places… took the new sentosa express to sentosa itself… its a new monorail system that links vivocity to sentosa… not fully operational yet but it still stops at most stops…
first went to Butterfly Park… $10 per pax… :( haha… but nvm lar… since im there to enjoy so so be it =pPp hmm anyway, there were so many exhibits of butterflies that i have not seen… there were also other insect exhibits such as beetles, leaf insects, stick insects, scorpions etc… haha… not exactly my cuppa tea but it was interesting and managed to see some pretty nice specimens… the walkthrough section was a new experience… i used to be afraid of flying insects or walking thru this kinda thing when i was young, but now i find that there’s nothing to be afraid of… i even dare to go near and touch the butterflies… lol…

next stop was underwater world =X so long since i went there… i think the last time was like in primary school??? haha… decided to try out the new Skyride that they have… its basically like those u find on the skiing mountains… the view is nice and its open air… so pretty windy and cooling… it linked imbiah area to the beach front… so took a walk from siloso beach to underwater world… quite a long walk but at least enjoyed it… =) since it was still early, grabbed lunch at delifrance… doesnt taste very nice so didnt really finished it up… ahahaha… after lunch we went into underwater world… the first part of the tour was the hand-ons section… bought the stingray feed which consisted of a few slices of squid and a small fish head… one of the stingrays bit my hand -.- i wonder if my hand is that tasty since my hamster also like biting on it… lolz… the nurse shark was quite docile… it didnt even bother moving when i touched it… haha… i liked the sea angel and the crabs exhibt best of all… its something we dont get to see that often… i always thought that crabs came only in those shapes and sizes seen in books… but there are crabs called coconut crabs which are so big in size… the sea angel is another beauty… its so small in size, and it looks like those baby squids… a pity i couldnt get a nice clear shot on it… the ones that i have were pretty blur =( i didnt really like the travelator part… kinda dizzy after staring at the magnifying glass too long…
3rd stop… dolphin lagoon… took a bus there as it was at the opposite side of where we started from… just in time to view the dolphin exhibiton… haha… pink dolphins are so cute… hmmz… the performance was good and i was actually thinking of purchasing the tokens so as to be able to go down into the lagoon with the dolphins after the show, but since there were no extra clothes, so scraped the idea…
last and final stop was Fort Siloso… we took a walk back to underwater area since it was just next to it… learnt quite a bit on Singapore’s history… now i finally know why the currency used during the Japanese occupation was called ‘banana’ or ‘coconut’ money… its because, the pictures/diagrams on the money were either of banana trees or coconut trees ;) visited the bunkers that the soldiers of that time lived in as well as the surrender chambers in which the British first surrendered to the Japanese as well as the end of the war where the Japanese surrendered to the Ally forces…
overall… it was a fun experience at sentosa and i wont mind going again…
met up with cyn, hs, seng for dinner at crystal jade ramen at taka in the evening… haha… we had fun joking and catching up… especiall with dajie since she always not free de… lol… after that watched soccer with seng at payer labar area then bernard came to join us and we decided to play pool since i dont want to pay for the mid-night cab alone… haha… anyway i didnt have to pay for pool ;)
