Finally Some Family Time

the past whole month i have been so busy with duties, and my family was away on holidays, so didnt get to spend much time with them… so when mum said we were going to Suntec today, i jumped at the chance to spend some quality time with them… and the good thing was i get to have a break from duties this week… next tues onwards i will start my final 7 duties before i say bb and go on my ord break =X

anyway, mum wanted to go to bukit timah hill trekking… haha… she says my dad is too lazy to go exercise on normal days so we should go today… but then due to some objections, we decided to skip trekking and go straight to suntec… had lunch at the suntec foodcourt… not really that fantastic but was still ok… we den went to the PC fair… nothing much de lehx… so damn crowded… wanted to get a DVD burner but there wasnt much choices so we decided to go to SIM LIM another day to get it… sianz… i wana play the C&C that i borrowed… haha… did some shopping but didnt managed to get anything at all… i did see some stuff that i wana get but due to financial restraints atm, i just have to wait till my next pay =pPp bought a whole lot of groceries from Carrefour… haha… wont starve for the next few days le… lolz… went to tiong bahru market for dinner… *yummy* … so long nv go there eat le… as usual, whenever we are there, we will tend to overorder… lolz… my mum n sis ordered a prawn noodles dry, my dad a bowl of porridge, and me a bowl of fish soup with rice… furthermore, we ordered satay, rojak and oyster omelette… haha… so damn full… didnt managed to finish up everything tho… haha… when home after that… well its been a fun day… some family time spent together at last… hopefully i will have more of this opportunities in the future which im sure i will ;)

going back to work tml again… kinda stupid seeing that its friday tml and just work for one day then its the weekends… but then again, i dont mind this kind of life… haha… im thinking of taking half a day off tml… but not sure if i shld waste the off like this… sianz… how how how… i really need to start planning my leave n my off already… haha…

lets see… how many more days ??? 67 more absolute days !!! haha… of which i wont be around for at least half the total days =pPp

i found a new series of books to read… books by Stephen Coonts :D … haha… his books are nice… comparable to Clive Cussler n Tom Clancy… heeX… looks like the nex few trips to the library will be solely his books… lolx… just read finish one of his books -> America

Weeeeeeeeee… Im Done With May’s Duties

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee…… im finally done with May’s duties at last… 13 duties can u imagine… first time i ever did so many duties in the month -.- the last time was just maximum of 7… haiz… next month i still have 7 to do… but then once thats done i will be done with everything ;) at least for now i have one week of rest before i begin again…

my parents are finally back… got a whole new set of clothes for me again =pPp kinda like some of them, the rest i just dont know what to match with :S (will post some of the nicer pieces when i get the time)

Whateva & Anything

talk about creativity… i think one of the most talked-about drinks in the Singapore market right now would be the 2 above… “Anything” and “Whatever”… a brief introduction would be “Anything” is a series of 6 carbonated drinks which include cola, cola with lemon, fizz up, root beer and 2 others… “Whatever” would be a series of 6 non-carbonated drinks which include apple tea, peach tea, lemon tea, chrysanthemum tea, white grape tea and jasmine tea… no one knows what they will be drinking, as no flavour is stated on the cans… the manufacturers say that the reason for coming up with these 2 names is that whenever people go out for meals, and someone asks them what they wana drink, they will usually reply ‘anything’ or ‘whatever’ so hence the name for these new line of packaging… i must say that this is rather innovative of them to come up with these new packaging… old drinks with new packaging… it creates a sense of secrecy as to which flavour we are drinking…

Disappointed

i just failed another of my objectives =( after the statics section, i thought silver was a sure-win for me… after all its been awhile since i have really trained up for the ippt test… after running 2/3 of the run, did i realised that i didnt exactly have much time left to horse around… i tried to speed up but it didnt helped… i passed the running, but didnt get the timing that i needed to grab the silver award… haiz… all the static stations for nothing… only consolation i can get would be i improved on my standing-broad-jump and i surprised myself in the chin-ups since im having problems with my shoulder… hopefully the test did not aggravate the injury…

here’s a recap of the grades:

weeeeeeeeeee… i went to mnc to endorse my letter in the noon… the medical officer or MO in short told me that he believed mine to be a genuine case so he’s gona advise me to follow the reccomendations made by the specialists and to follow up on my treatment ;) he gave me 6weeks of excuse upper limb activities… i asked him if there’s is anything i need to avoid… he told me to avoid any strenous activities other than those told to me by my physiotherapist =X

This movie is much different from the first, it shows the mutants mines, and where they lead. They seem smarter in this movie. They have holes in the ground in which they surprise anyone they wish to kill/eat. Much like the first movie, one of the mutants helps the humans. In the end, it shows as in the first movie that there will be another to the franchise. As in the final moments of the movie it shows the surviviors on a thermo imaging screen on a laptop as shown in the beginning of the movie. It shows that a mutant is watching them escape, who then closes the laptop in frustration.

Reality and Dreams

Why does reality always differ so much from our dreams? is it because dreams are just what we wish things to be, and thus is not possible for them to happen? or is it because dreams are just lazy thoughts that we wish for it to happen to us? just like people say dreams are beautiful while reality is harsh… none of us want things to turn out bad for themselves, no one wants to be unhappy, so maybe thats why dreams exist… maybe its just something we can fall back on should reality be too much for us to handle… somewhere for us to hide and recover from our setbacks… how often does our dreams really come true?

the world in which our dreams lie, is so much different from the world in which reality resides in, dont u think so? i dont think the world that we so much wants to see, wants to live in, wants to be in, has wars raging on in parts of the globe, has poverty, has loved ones taken away just in the blink of an eye… there is so much more that we dream of having, but its just the opposite of whats happening in reality…

take love for an example, who in the world doesnt dream of finding the one they really love, hoping that the latter also feels the same way they feel towards him/her… how many wouldnt dream of spending the rest of their lives happily and blissfully with the ones they love… but in reality, how many couples are able to withstand the obstacles thrown at them along their journey together? how many people are able to say that she/he is the one that they want to spend the rest of their lives with… who would want to fall in love someone thinking that they were meant to be, only to separate after time when feelings start to fade and the love starts to become bland…

another example would be money… in most of our dreams, we wished that we were rich… so that we didnt have to worry about having a low standard of living, being able to buy what we need and being able to support our extravagant lifestyle, seeing that in this society now, money is almost everything… without money, u cant afford anything… u wont be able to support yourself not to say a family, u wont be able to live the luxurious life that everyone is craving for and in the end, u will end up with nothing, without love and without a purpose… but look at reality, how many poor people we have in this world… how many beggars can we see on the streets as we walk down each day, and of the beggars, how many of them are kids?

so u see, there’s so much difference between reality and dreams… how can we differentiate which is reality and dreams… will our dreams come true one day? or will dreams remain forever as just…… dreams?

weeeeeeeeeee…. 4 more duties for this month to go… just came back again this morning or should i say afternoon… its the 3rd sat i have been doing duty for the month… *hang in there, ur almost done* after dismount, went to 1omile to play lan with my frenz… i finally played C&C 3… its so damn fun and cool… im absolutely smittened by the graphics… haha… i wana buy the original game !!! sianz… dont know when can get it tho… haha…

supposed to have gone running in the evening to train for my ippt test which is on this wed =pPp but i overslpt… i may just go run later in the night bahx… haiz… i scared i will be too tired and wont be able to wake up in time for camp tml morning… hmmz…

i only realised that the More Tales of Saffy and Amanda i read the other day was the second book in the 2-book series… i juz finished reading book one while doing duty yesterday… like the 2nd book, its comical and shows us the lives of different ppl in our everyday society… haha… how i wish i was as lucky as John was =pPp *looks ard… kidding!!!* since im done with another book, i will have to start looking for other books to read now =pPp lucky for me, i borrowed 2 books last week, but both are thrillers… i suddenly feel like reading light-hearted books, something like “Tales of Saffy and Amanda”…

during these past few days, a lot of thoughts have gone through my mind… some of them important and some aint so important… but i realised i really do wana accomplished these things… maybe i will have to source around first and find out more before making a decision… i dont want to have to rush into making any decisions right now, not before everything is clear…
