After Talking To……
shaun and my good friend last night, it suddenly dawned on me that almost everything we do in life will follow one common mentality… and that is to ‘give it our best’… i suppose that if we give our very best in everything we do, no matter what the result turn out to be, we will still be satisfied and the results will still be gratifying to us… if we do succeed, the joy will be doubled… but even if we do fail, we could at least tell ourselves that we did our best and there was nothing else that we could have done…
in shaun’s case, studies… it is something that affects all of us during the early stages of our lives, and maybe for some, the later stages of life as well… some of us may be suited to study while some of us aren’t… but we shouldnt be binded by how our results turn out to be… it doesnt mean that its the end of the world when we dont do well… there’s always other opportunities in life… we just have to make sure that we put in the effort to do our revision and try our best to do well in the exams… action speaks louder than words… results show how much effort we put in, thats how my parents like to remind me each time i try to assure them that i do do my revision…
in the case of the convo with my good fren, its just about giving a chance to ourselves in every decision that we make… sometimes, we just have to put ourselves in first place before everything else… it may sound selfish, but its the only way to protect ourselves… if we dont even want to give ourselves a chance, how can we expect others to give us a chance… if we dont even have confidence in ourselves, how can we expect others to have confidence in us… and we just need to try doing what we fear the most… the worst case scenario for trying is failing, but what is that compared to having regrets in life… at times, we just need to do things on impulse and not think of the consequences… cause if we were to weigh the pros and cons, we just might decide not to try…
in my case, maybe i just am short of that little bit of confidence after what has happened in the past… maybe thats why im hesitating…

Down Town
(its such a pain in the a** to have to think of a different title each time i post a new post)
ok… met up with ed at tanah merah then waited for shaun at the bedok central mac… and i tell u the weather was freaking hot… not only yesterday, but these few days… suitable for sun-tanning, but definitely not for walking under the sun… anyway… we were early, and shaun wanted to look at guitars, so we followed him to YAMAHA… lolz… it reminded me of the days when seng and i wanted to buy 1 and ended up only he buying… aaron came soon after… shaun n him went for a bite while ed and i were busy throwing bballs in the arcade… talk of coincidence, met seng n cat at the arcade as well… apparently they were gona watch Pink Panther 2… waited for weijie and his fren then left to play Dota for 2h while waiting for aason and cindy…
cindy was craving for xisha, and she brought us to Persiap Street… cold beer !!! =x … weijie and me each had one mug while the rest had soft drinks… cindy ordered the apple flavoured xisha, but it was super faint… not much taste at all =/
left town around 11.15pm with shaun and we both had a good talk about stuff at the bedok platform (of all places)…
a good fren gave me a call when i was walking home… and we chatted for two and a half hours… LOL… i finally reached back home at 2.30am? =/

Tennis and Beer =X
had a couple of games of table tennis with seng in the late noon before going for dinner with jo, cyn and dickson…
played tennis in the night, then had a drink with seng…
today’s tennis was more fun compared to previous times… prolly because all 5 of us have our own rackets rather than only 2 ppl playing and the rest watching from the sides…
the chat with seng during our drinking session was interesting because of the beer analogy that we used… shhhh [inside joke] =X

was talking to ee ching when she asked me something just when she was about to go offline… it went something like that…

EeChing: how come you never give the present?
Me: cause we didnt meet so didnt give lor…
EeChing: huh… you 2 nv arrange to meet?
Me: nope… never cfm meeting or not… was a may meet, may not meet kind of thing…
EeChing: aiyoh… you shld have book appointment mahx… then now u wasted ur effort by throwing it away…
Me: nvm lar… v day present give after v day then no meaning liao mahx…
EeChing: can always give belated mahx… got sincerity can le and i think will be gan dong…
